Phoria

The ethereal post-rock quintet Phoria was formed in Brighton, U.K. in ’09 2009 by aged close friends Trewin Howard (vocals, acoustic guitar), Ed Sanderson (key pad, vocals), and Jeb Hardwick (acoustic guitar), who experienced fulfilled years before when acquiring music lessons at college in Salisbury where they was raised. The lineup was finished with the addition of Tim Douglas (bass, synth) and Ross Crick (drums). This year 2010 they released their debut EP, Yourself Still, a mellow, semi-acoustic affair that integrated the influence of several acts, especially Gravenhurst, while hinting at a distinctive sound. The EP drew some positive important attention as well as the music group secured several impressive support slot machine games with famous brands Dodgy, Her Name Can be Calla, and Ultraista, the music group of renowned manufacturer Nigel Godrich. Their 2013 sophomore EP, Bloodworks, experienced a more described identification and a more powerful electronic influence, merging the lush grandeur of post-Brit-pop indie with components of epic post-rock as well as trip-hop to make a exclusive sound globe that drew evaluations to famous brands Radiohead and Sigur Rós without ever completely sounding like either.
