Phil Fearon

b. 30 July 1956, Jamaica, Western Indies. This multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter and maker relocated to Britain in 1962. After owning a reggae audio system he became a member of Hott Polish, (who evolved into Brit Funk pioneers Hi-Tension after he remaining) and in the past due 70s was a mainstay of strike group Kandidate. He setup a studio room in his north London home and initially documented using the group Proton on Champagne. Fearon’s initial documenting as Galaxy (with the help of performers Julie and Dorothy) was ‘Mind Over Pumps’ on Ensign in 1982, which became a membership hit. The very first success was included with the very best 5 strike ‘Dance Tight’ in 1983 and on the following 15 a few months they chalked up an additional four UK Best 40 singles including Best 10s ‘What WILL I Perform’ and ‘Everybody’s Laughing’.
