Sweden’s Paul Rey can be an exuberant vocalist/songwriter whose music combines his like of hooky melodic pop and rap. Delivered Pauli Jokela in Lund, Sweden, Rey was raised within a multi-cultural, musically willing household using a Chilean mom and Finnish dad. He first started playing music at age group six with piano lessons, and afterwards added drums and electric guitar. As a teenager, Rey took complete benefit of Sweden’s radiant music school custom and by age 10 was executing in local skill contests. However, it had been after his dad got him to Sweden’s largest music celebration, Malmöfestivalen, when he was 11, that Rey was motivated to begin composing his own tracks. Inspired by an eclectic mixture of performers from Bob Marley, Michael Jackson, as well as the Beatles to 2Pac, Dr. Dre, and Eminem, Rey quickly created a unique cross-genre design of pop and R&B. In 2012, he released an extremely touted independent record and discovered himself opening displays for rappers including Big Sean and Raekwon. Subsequently, he captured the interest of legendary manufacturer Quincy Jones, who helped him protected a recording agreement with Epic. In 2015, Rey released his debut EP, Great as Hell.
