Parralox

There’s certainly a whole lot robotic, and happily therefore, about their music, which is normally unequivocally predicated on the greats of 1980s synthesizer pop — Yaz, Depeche Setting, the Human Group, etc. — with lyrics that frequently make direct mention of these and likeminded rings. Prior to developing Parralox, Roxy have been functioning independently being a vocalist/songwriter, splitting her time taken between Australia as well as the U.K., while Von Ahlen, a business veteran, was an associate from the goth cabaret-pop clothing the Tenth Stage. The set had also proved helpful jointly previously, both with and without Australian electro musician Johnny X, who acquired initially presented them. Inspired by an evergrowing influx of Internet interest following many compilation performances, Parralox self-released their record Power in August 2008, including a cover of Radiohead’s “Creep” among the reward tracks. They produced their debut live appearance in London in Dec, began scoring the net television series Lifestyle After Lisa, created a small number of remixes, and by early 2009 had been already posting monitors for his or her forthcoming second recording even while they ready the first solitary release, “Sharper When compared to a Blade,” using their first.
