Blaudzun

The alias of Dutch singer/songwriter Johannes Sigmond, Blaudzun specializes in rousing, open-road indie pop that skillfully blends the expansiveness of bands like Arcade Fire and Frightened Rabbit using the rural, country-folk charm from the Lumineers and MEDICAL Kit. Located in Utrecht, Sigmond released his eponymous debut record in 2008. His sophomore outing, Seadrift Soundmachine, appeared two years afterwards, implemented in 2012 by Large Blooms. He toured European countries heavily, and in addition made an appearance at SXSW in Austin, Tx. Blaudzun’s 2014 discharge, Guarantees of No Man’s Property, debuted at number 1 in the Dutch graph, and kicked off another influx of live times and tours.
