Olivia Hime

First singer and composer Olívia Hime has already established both benefits and drawbacks due to her marriage with composer Francis Hime, but her innovative production means itself. In 1977 she created Francis’ Passaredo. She documented her initial LP, Olívia Hime, four years afterwards. Her association with poets were only available in 1985 when she documented A Música em Pessoa, where she place Fernando Pessoa’s poems to music. Estrela da Vida Inteira was focused on Manuel Bandeira’s poetry, having music created specially on her behalf by Tom Jobim and Dorival Caymmi. In 1998, she asked the poets Hermínio Bello de Carvalho, Paulo César Pinheiro, and Joyce to create lyrics for Chiquinha Gonzaga’s music, leading to the record Serenata de Uma Mulher — Olivia Hime Canta Chiquinha Gonzaga.
