Nicholas Mendoza

Merging ska, reggae, rocksteady, jazz, and hip-hop rhythms, drummer J. Nicholas Mendoza pieces the building blocks for New York-based dance music group Dominant Seven (D7). An associate of the group because the wintertime of 1996, when saxophonist and vocalist Nathaniel Stern produced the music group with fellow learners at Cornell School in Ithaca, NY, Mendoza provides remained necessary to the band’s sound.
