Jihae Simmons Meek met her husband to be and Neverever bandmate, Bricolage’s Wallace Meek, during her stint seeing that the business lead singer for the Glasgow-based indie pop group the Royal We. Following Royal We’s break up in 2007, the few relocated to Jihae’s hometown of LA, CA, where they teamed up with Devon Williams and Mickey LaFranchi and surely got to work on a fresh indie pop task. Initially phoning themselves the Champagne Socialists, the fledgling band’s early tunes sounded something similar to a gritty, sun-blanched mash-up from the Royal We and Bricolage. Their debut solitary, Blue Genes, arrived on Slumberland Information in the summertime of 2009; the Champagne Socialists transformed their name to Neverever soon after the 7″ sole premiered. The lineup transformed a bit aswell; Devon Williams parted methods using the group to go after a solo task, and new users Jackson Baugh and Jessica Espeleta had been brought on table. The group’s 1st recording, Angelic Swells, premiered on by Slumberland in-may of 2010. In early 2012, the music group returned having a 5 music EP entitled Shake-a-Baby. This EP hinted at hook change in path with mildly slower tempos and a style of heartbreak or anger permeating every music.
