Mustard Seed

The choice CCM band Mustard Seed was formed within the campus of Illinois’ Greenville College in 1994 by singers/guitarists Joel Pierce and Clifton Poe in collaboration with bassist David Jahn; drummer Moises Padilla became a member of the group immediately after, accompanied by the addition of business lead vocalist Chrissy Curl. Prior to the yr was out Poe exited, and Mustard Seed continuing on like a foursome; Curl remaining in early 1995, and after a short-term hiatus the group reformed with fresh vocalist Shane Matsumoto and bassist Wayne Webb, changing Jahn. Padilla and Matsumoto both remaining in the springtime of 1996, enabling the improvements of vocalist Sara Hundley and drummer Neil Kissack; after documenting their debut LP Little Splendid, Mustard Seed welcomed second guitarist Jim Wells.
