Moon Pool & Dead Band

Moon Pool & Deceased Band can be an experimental techno duo comprising two veterans of Detroit’s indie rock and roll and experimental music moments, Nate Teen (Wolf Eye) and Dave Shettler (the Places, Koufax). Their gritty analog synth explorations are straight inspired with the enhancements of their city’s techno picture, and are amazingly funky and danceable. The duo produced in early 2010 and started launching limited cassettes and CD-Rs through Wolf Eye’ AA Information. They produced their vinyl fabric debut in 2011, with 7″ one “Patsy” (Cass Information) and a self-titled LP (Agitated Information). Not Not really Fun released the duo’s Individual Take a flight EP in 2012, offering the Cramps-sampling name track. 3 years afterwards, Moon Pool & Deceased Band’s MEQ dual 12″ was the first discharge on Midwich Productions, a Chicago-based digital label founded by Magas, a fellow veteran from the Michigan noise picture. The label also released Humanizer, Moon Pool’s second full-length, in 2016.
