Monstrosity

The death metal band Monstrosity formed in Ft. Lauderdale, FL in Oct 1990; originally composed of vocalist George “Corpsegrinder” Fisher, guitarist Jon Rubin, bassist Tag Truck Erp and drummer Lee Harris, the group documented their first demonstration just 8 weeks after forming, as well as the ensuing underground buzz led to a cope with the Nuclear Blast label. After issuing Imperial Doom in early 1992, Monstrosity toured European countries with Pestilence before relocating towards the Tampa region, a move which led Rubin to keep the line-up; with brand-new guitarist Jason Morgan, the group eventually opened for works including Pantera and Obituary, although no brand-new materials was forthcoming for quite some time. Just after putting your signature on with Conquest Music, Truck Erp exited Monstrosity, and was changed by bassist Kelly Conlon; upon completing their 1996 sophomore work Millennium, Fisher recognized an offer to become listed on Cannibal Corpse, and onetime Eulogy frontman Jason Avery got his place. In middle-1997, Morgan still left the band aswell, and with brand-new guitarist Jamie Harris, Monstrosity documented their third LP In Dark Purity, released on Slipdisc in 1999. Enslaving the Public appeared 2 yrs down the road Conquest.
