Miss Toni Fisher

b. c. 1929, LA, California, USA, d. Feb 1999. Miss Toni Fisher is most beneficial remembered on her behalf one US Top 10 strike, ‘The Big Harm’, which reached #3 3 in November 1959, but small is well known of her history. She was a torch vocalist who documented the Wayne Shanklin-penned strike for the tiny Signet label, supported by Heine Beau And His Orchestra. The one highlighted a ‘phasing’ impact that would recognition on psychedelic recordings almost a decade afterwards, and Fisher’s record, named following the strike single, was significant in that it had been an early stereo system recording. Fisher acquired two more graph singles, a remake of Irving Berlin’s ‘How Deep MAY BE THE Sea’, and ‘Western world Of The Wall structure’, the last mentioned a mention of the Berlin Wall structure, a newsworthy subject when the melody was released in 1962, on Big Best Records. Fisher continued to record for Columbia Information, Capitol Information and Smash Information within the 60s and disappeared in the music scene.
