Ngema wrote and performed Woza Albert, an anti-apartheid humor/crisis that got rave evaluations when it all toured the united states in 1984. Alongside Hugh Masakela, Ngema had written Sarafina, a musical crisis that told the storyplot of a day time in the life span of the South African township as noticed through the eye of several high school kids.
