The sounds of bluegrass and acoustic country music have already been taken to Eastern Europe by Czechoslovakia-based band, Poutnici. Led by acoustic bass participant and vocalist Jiri Pola, who became a member of the music group in 1981, the group proceeds to mix initial music with Czech translations of tunes by Lester Flatt, Expenses Monroe, Tennessee Ernie Ford, and Gordon Lightfoot. The recipients of “greatest non-American bluegrass record of the entire year” awards from your American Business for the Preservation and Advancement of Bluegrass Music in 1989 and 1990, Poutnici provides toured in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, and Poland. Poutnici provides undergone numerous workers adjustments since its inception in 1970. The initial music group, offering Frantisck Linharek, Josef Svlak, and Miroslav Korman, continued to be together for a bit more than 2 yrs. Svlak still left in 1973 with Korman pursuing in 1976, Linharek continued to be using the music group until 1991. By 2000, the group features Pola; twelve-string guitarist, vocalist, and an associate since 1972 Zdenek Kalina; guitarist Miroslav Hulan; mandolin and fiddle participant Honza Maca; and banjo participant Petr Brandejs.
