Maxim Rysanov

Maxim Rysanov is a Ukrainian-British violist and conductor, located in London. His viola educators had been Maria Sitkovskaya in Moscow and John Glickman in London in the Guildhall College of Music and Episode; his conducting trainer was Alan Hazeldine, also in the Guildhall College. Known primarily like a violist and secondarily like a conductor, Rysanov divides his interest between playing worldwide festivals and performing concerts all over the world. He’s also a dynamic chamber musician, playing recitals with such performers as Leif Ove Andsnes, Nicola Benedetti, Alice Coote, Janine Jansen, Gidon Kremer, Mischa Maisky, Vadim Repin, Maxim Vengerov, and several other music artists. His strong desire for contemporary music offers led him to utilize composers Valentin Bibik, Leonid Desyatnikov, Richard Dubugnon, Giya Kancheli, Elena Langer, Dobrinka Tabakova, and Benjamin Yusupov. In 2014, showing up with violinist Nikita Boriso-Glebsky, Rysanov performed the globe premiere of Krzysztof Penderecki’s Two times Concerto in Moscow, beneath the composer’s path. Rysanov has documented for Avie, Onyx, ECM, and BIS.
