Although originally formed like a chamber pop quintet, matt pond PA experienced a number of different lineups throughout its existence, with each incarnation revolving round the abilities of singer/songwriter Matt Fish-pond (previously of Mel’s Rockpile). Fish-pond produced the group upon relocating from New Britain to Philadelphia, and he done his initial lineup with guitarist/bassist Josh Kramer, cellist Jim Hostetter, violinist Rosie McNamara-Jones, and drummer Sean Byrne.
