Mark Burgess

In 1981, Tag Burgess shaped the Chameleons with guitarists Dave Fielding and Reg Smithies, and drummer John Lever. Shaped through the early-’80s English post-punk motion, the music group embraced the disjointed atmospherics and alienation of New Purchase. He added Yves Altana being a songwriting partner, and utilized a lot of the associates from the Sons of God to flesh out the sound of Paradyning, released in 1995 as Tag Burgess & Yves Altana. Helped relatively by reissues from the Chameleons albums (including a re-pressing of Unusual Situations in the U.S.), the record received one of the most interest from the United kingdom press since his Chameleons times.
