Magic Castles

Magic Castles’ shiny vocal harmonies, hazy guitars, and warm organ drones propel their fantasyland storytelling right into a warm, pastoral neo-psychedelic trip. The band created in Minneapolis in 2006, developing out of vocalist/guitarist Jason Edmonds’ house recording task as he tapped vocalist/guitarist Jeremiah Doering, bassist Paul Fuglestad, drummer Brendan McInerney, and Kait Sergenian. Magic Castles performed their first display at a friend’s party later on that year, started recording their 1st record the next summer season, and by June 2008 provided their self-released debut, The Lore of Mysticore. At that time, the music group added keyboardist/vocalist Noah Skogerboe to help expand flesh out its audio, and Matt Vehicle Genderen changed McInerney within the drums. This fresh incarnation pulled dual duty in ’09 2009, providing sophomore record Dreams of Dreams and also a limited-edition cassette, Noises from the Forest. Magic Castles got their biggest break in fall 2010, when their melody “Ballad from the Golden Parrot” arrived on Anton Newcombe’s radar and motivated the Brian Jonestown Massacre bandleader release a their next record on his A Information label. The effect was a self-titled discharge mainly culled from Magic Castles’ prior works; serving simply because an expanded launch to the music group and a re-release of enthusiast favorites now away of printing, it found its way to March 2012. An effective third studio record Sky Noises arrived in past due 2014.
