Low Roar

Low Roar’s dreamy folk finds beauty in the somber aspect of life. Previously the frontman of Oakland, California alt-rockers Audrye Periods, Ryan Joseph Karazija started Low Roar as a reply to the transformation and loneliness he sensed in the wake of shifting to Reykjavík, Iceland. He chronicled the issues of acclimating to a international land, finding function, and helping his family members by composing a song every day, the outcomes of which made an appearance in November 2011 on Low Roar’s self-titled debut record. The discharge for Tonequake Information highlighted loops and levels of electric guitar, harp, pump body organ, percussion, and key pad against Karazija’s apparent, mellow vocals and plaintive lyrics.
