La India Meliyara

Colombian La India Meliyará (given birth to Melida Yara Yanguma) began going to music classes in 1972, but she was mostly influenced by her dad, an area musician. After earning a festival known as La Nueva Estrella de la Canción, the youthful and promising vocalist had the chance to create her first record, entitled Homenaje Al Maestro José Barros, that was released in 1977. La Reina de la Cumbia (The Cumbia Queen) adopted in 1979. 2 yrs later on, La India Meliyará became a member of the popular exotic music orchestra Sonora Dinamita touring world-wide and taking part on successful information. In 1990, Melida Yara teamed up with her spouse/maker, Rodrigo Morales, to create their personal group.
