Korey Dane

California vocalist/songwriter Korey Dane makes rootsy, literate folk and indie rock and roll. Given birth to in Southern California in 1989, Dane was raised around Long Seaside along with his mechanic dad and English instructor mother. He 1st began playing acoustic guitar at age group 15, and by his twenties, he’d created a creative collaboration with vocalist/songwriter Tess Shapiro. Collectively, Dane and Shapiro documented two well-received impartial albums (2009’s For the Kite Flyers and 2010’s Loomer) before parting methods. Refocusing on his single work, Dane ultimately joined causes with guitarist Aaron Embry and a small number of like-minded instrumentalists to greatly help flesh out his tunes. In 2015, he released the full-length, Youngblood, which presented creation from Tony Berg (Edie Brickell, Michael Penn, Aimee Mann), and included history vocals from Z. Berg and Chris Stills.
