Kopecky

Playing smart and tuneful indie pop using a folkie contact, Kopecky began as the Kopecky Family Strap, even though the group people had been friends instead of siblings, their precise but homey harmonies and loose but tight arrangements offered their music a spirited, familiar experience. Kopecky was shaped in 2007 by Kelsey Kopecky (keyboards, bass, and vocals) and Gabe Simon (guitars, horns, and vocals) if they had been both college students at Belmont College or university in Nashville, Tennessee. Both discovered that they had identical likes in music and started jamming together; with time, a small number of additional youthful, like-minded Nashville players became a member of them, including Steven Holmes on acoustic guitar and lap metal, Markus Midkiff on cello, acoustic guitar, and secrets, Corey Oxendine on bass, acoustic guitar, and horns, and David Krohn on drums. Implementing the name the Kopecky Family members Music group, the combo started playing regional gigs and released an EP, Embraces, in November 2008. Another EP, The Catastrophe, adopted in August 2010, and another, Of Epic Proportions, adopted just 90 days later. By this time around, the group got produced a name for themselves on Nashville’s indie picture, and started touring thoroughly to spread the term about the music group. ATO Information, the artist-friendly indie label founded by Dave Matthews, authorized the Kopecky Family members Band to a documenting agreement, and in Apr 2013, they released their debut, Children Raising Children. The recording received enthusiastic evaluations, and the music “Heartbeat” became a radio strike. As the band’s celebrity increased, they announced that these were streamlining their name in past due 2014, which the Kopecky Family members Band would right now be conducting business basically as Kopecky. By this time around, these were hard at the job on the second recording, and Medication for the present day Age premiered in June of 2015.
