Kittyhawk

Following within the custom of such rings as Cowboy Junkies as well as the Indigo Girls, New York’s Kittyhawk is an assortment of folk and root base rock and roll. The four-piece music group includes vocalist/songwriter Jennifer Zablocki, guitarist/bassist Pier Giacalone, support vocalist Rena Grey, and drummer/pianist Rick Cutler. Produced in 1997, Kittyhawk gigged progressively, getting gigs at such N.Con.C. hotspots because the Bitter End, CBGB, and Arlene’s Grocery store, among others. Oct 2000 saw the discharge of the debut album in the Wondering label, titled Eliminate Devil Hillsides. Giacalone and Zablocki chosen the most powerful 12 compositions from a pool of over 200! The record was well received with the music press and radio, acquiring its method onto the enjoy lists of over 100 FM channels everywhere.
