Beauty Sleep

Beauty Rest formed in Brooklyn, NY, in 2004 when ex – university buddies Annabel Kaplan and Tony Larkin ran into one another by chance in a concert; carrying out a few jam periods, they recruited drummer Rob DeCaterino and bassist Brian DiFeo to circular away the group. A wistful, dreamy indie pop affair whose jangly electric guitar function and earnest vocals nodded to twee-as-all-get-out performers just like the Softies as well as the Field Mice, Beauty Rest soon caught the interest from the Connecticut-based label Missing Stones following a launch of their self-titled five-track EP. Programs for any debut full-length recording, Tunes on Tape Recorders, had been hindered from the unexpected departure of DiFeo in early 2006, as well as the band continued hiatus in the summertime of 2007 around the heels from the launch of their four-song EP Character vs. Nurture.
