Rami Khalifé

Pianist Rami Khalifé was created in Beirut, Lebanon, in Sept 25, 1981. After a brief launch to the key pad, he still left Lebanon at age group seven, ultimately resuming his musical trained in Paris, France, on the Conservatoire Country wide de Région de Boulogne-Billancourt beneath the path of Alfred Herzog. There he examined with Louis-Claude Thirion and Marie-Paule Siuguet, while acquiring concurrent private research with Abdel Rahman Un Bacha. Using the clarinetist Kinan Azmeh, they possess concertized in the centre East and america, performing traditional and improvised repertoire, and toured in SOUTH USA collaborating with Brazilian cellist Fabio Presgrave. In 2005 Khalifé reunited with Schlime and founded the group Aufgang, making use of two pianos and pc, performing unique compositions of fresh, contemporary, and experimental music. He offers released two albums — Reside in Beirut, which consists of single piano interpretations of traditional music, and Picture from Hellek, a genuine single piano recital of songs.
