Biography
b. c.1974. Another of the brand new crop of Staten Isle (aka Shaolin), NY, USA, rappers, whose appropriation from the ‘Shaolin’ fighting techinques ethos noticed him in comparison to neighbours the Wu-Tang Clan. He produced his debut using the ‘Warrior’s Drum’ 12-inches, which became an enormous underground strike in 1994. Supported by his staff/gang, Blackfist (also the name of his label, controlled through Select), it had been skilled hardcore but appeared somewhat unoriginal within the context.
