Kaleidoscope

No regards to bands from the same name from California or from Britain, this Kaleidoscope was Mexican, though just like the various other two bands, in addition they operated in the later 1960s. Their lone album (sung totally in British) was a fairly fair, if quite typical little bit of garage area rock-psychedelia, large on dense vibrating body organ, fuzz electric guitar, and surly vocals. The record sounds like a soundtrack to a circa-’67 psychsploitation flick, but with an improved music group than most such movies enlisted, with some unstable wacky results and lead vocals (just betraying faint international accents) impacting a non-chalant cockiness. It has been reported that just a couple of hundred copies from the LP had been pressed when it initial arrived, and though it had been reissued on La Ciruela Electrica, that was a restricted edition of just 600 copies.
