A self-described “grand-sympho-orchestral-kamikaze-metal” task, Japan’s Kadenzza is really a one-man tour de force devised by vocalist and multi-instrumentalist You Oshima. After focusing on house demos as a spare time activity through the entire 1990s, Oshima released three albums within the 2000s: THE TRUTH within the Phantasmagoric Globe (2002), In to the Oriental Phantasma (2003), and THE NEXT Renaissance — all offering himself managing vocals, guitars, synthesizers, sampling, and development, plus, when required, very sporadic visitor narrators and instrumentalists.
