Jonathan Biss

American pianist Jonathan Biss launched his career in the past due ’90s, appearances being a soloist using the Baltimore Symphony and many other prominent nationwide ensembles. In 1997 Biss concluded his training with Brancart and began monitoring with Leon Fleisher in the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia. Biss made an appearance that same 12 months at Wolf Capture with Isaac Stern and there approved the Shouse Debut Designer Honor from him. The next year Biss started showing up as soloist with many of the more essential American orchestras, like the Baltimore and Seattle symphony orchestras, as well as the Buffalo and Rochester philharmonic orchestras. In 1999 Biss was offered an Avery Fisher profession grant, and following the above mentioned triumphs in 2000, he was asked to come back to NY for even more engagements at prominent concert locations, including with the brand new York Philharmonic. More than the next couple of years he made an appearance with a lot of the leading American orchestras, including those in Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Boston, Chicago, and SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA, and also used numerous orchestras overseas, like the Staatskapelle Berlin (under Daniel Barenboim) as well as the Essen Philharmonic. Biss’ initial recording premiered in 2005 on EMI and included functions by Beethoven and Schumann.
