Joki Freund

German saxophonist and arranger Joki Freund began taking part in in Joe Quitter’s music group during the past due ’40s, then used Jutta Hipp in the mid-’50s, before forming his personal hard bop group. He performed tuba in Werner Rehm’s Two Defeat Stompers, a normal jazz group from 1955 until 1967, and performed at different Euopean celebrations with going to American music artists like Donald Byrd, Arthur Taylor, and Doug Watkins. Freund performed within a radio jazz group with Albert Mangelsdorff and had written their arrangments, while playing sax in the ’60s and ’70s using the Suddeutscher Rundfunk dance orchestra beneath the path of Erwin Lehn. He also constructed the music for the film Praeludium in Jazz.
