Johnny Howard

b. 5 Feb 1931, Croydon, Surrey, Britain. Howard learned to try out the saxophone at college and, after playing semi-professionally for quite some time, became a full-time professional musician in 1959. 2 yrs later he implemented Lou Preager because the citizen head at London’s esteemed Lyceum Ballroom and, through the next couple of years, fronted rings for the most part of London’s main dance venues. Through the 60s he led his very own band on well-known UK radio displays such Easy Defeat and Saturday Membership and, over time, has turned into a familiar name in BBC Radio’s music programs. He also produced and led the administrative centre Radio Big Music group, and features in concerts, occasionally accompanying visiting superstar vocalists and music artists from the united states.
