Jocelyn Menard

Jocelyn Menard was created in Drummondville, Quebec, Canada, in 1961. In 1980, he finished the jazz research plan at Concordia School. In 1988, he recognized a posture in the France section of Guadeloupe, teaching saxophone and flute at the guts musical Robert Mavounzy. In 1987, he started traveling to NY frequently to be able to research with George Coleman and in addition journeyed to Paris to review tranquility with Bernard Maury. Wanting to ideal his abilities, he participated in workshops distributed by Dave Liebman in Paris in 1992 and with Arturo Sandoval, Gonzalo Rubalcaba, and Potential Roach in Martinique in 1993. Upon his go back to Guadeloupe in 1993, he used an active function in the training program on the école de musique Armand Siobud, as planner from the school’s jazz section. He made many jazz groupings in Guadeloupe and performed in numerous celebrations. He provides performed with Guadelupean music artists Charly Chomereau-Lamotte, Edouard Benoirt, Content Lewis, André Condouant, les freres Bernard, Michel Sardaby, Philippe d’Huy, Raymond d’Huy, and Raymond Grego. In 1990, within the Mozaik Jazz Quintet, he opened up for Chucho Valdés and Stanley Jordan on the Celebration de Jazz de la Guadeloupe. Throughout a short stay static in Paris, he joined up with both Tito Puente’s Orchestra as well as the Paris Jazz Orchestra. He in addition has used Norman Deveault, Norman Guilbeault, Francois Theberge & the Moderate Music group, Charito, and Sylvain Gagnon.
