James Anthony Carmichael

Wayne Anthony Carmichael produced and arranged the strikes from the Commodores in addition to those of the group’s past business lead singer and primary songwriter Lionel Richie, including his ten-million-selling LP Can’t DECELERATE. Besides being associated with their number 1 million-selling strikes for Motown Information, Carmichael also performed piano on Bettye Swann’s 1967 number 1 R&B strike “Make Me Yours.” Carmichael must not be puzzled with Wayne Carmichael, business lead singer on Quick Funk’s platinum 1979 solitary “I ACQUIRED My Mind COMPOSED.” Carmichael and Richie co-produced “Lacking You” for Diana Ross. Carmichael also do arrangements in the Temptations’ “Content People,” which highlighted backing tracks with the Commodores, and “Glasshouse.”
