Hutch Davie

Dealing with producer Bob Crewe, Hutch Davie supplied the arrangements for such best-selling rock and roll singles as Santo and Johnny’s “Sleepwalk”, in 1957, as well as the Angels’ “My Boyfriend’s Back again” in 1962. A top-notch manufacturer, Davie oversaw recordings by Shirley Ellis, Patty Duke, Leslie Gore, Ellie Greenwich and Frankie Valli as well as the Four Periods. Davie was nominated for the Grammy prize for his organizing from the Bob Crewe Generation’s 1967 record, Music TO VIEW Girls By. An experienced pianist, Davie was co-writer and performed piano on Jim Scott’s novelty strike, “Green Door”, in 1956.
