Highway Chile

Among Holland’s premiere large rock rings of the first ’80s (alongside famous brands Vandenberg and Picture), Highway Chile was formed in 1981 and contains vocalist Armand Vander Stigchel, guitarists Peter Barnouw and Ben Blaauw, bassist Eric Finck, and drummer Ernst Truck Ee. Their rock-solid debut record, Storybook Heroes, appeared two years afterwards and effectively place the band in the Euro-metal map, assisting these to protected touring possibilities with international large hitters like Whitesnake, Motörhead, and Accept. But despite launching an EP entitled For the Crazy and Depressed in 1984 and another LP called Rockarama in 1985 (which presented a new vocalist in Sav Pearce), musical distinctions were slowly putting on down the group, which split the following calendar year. Several members discovered subsequent fame using the even more industrial Helloïse, and in 2002 Highway Chile reunited for a particular tour across Holland which yielded the On the highway Again Live! record.
