Heraldo Di Monte

Former person in the historic Northeastern jazz group Quarteto Novo, Heraldo do Monte also developed a significant solo profession. His recording Cordas Vivas (1983) had been released in 22 countries. He offers used Michel Legrand, Dick Farney, Zimbo Trio, Walter Wanderley, and Paulo Moura and performed overseas in international celebrations of Cuba, Montreal, and Montreux. He currently became a specialist in Rio, using Walter Wanderley in 1956 and with Dick Farney in 1960. His 1st documenting came like a sessionman inside a Dolores Duran recording, with Walter Wanderley. His 1st solo recording was documented in 1960, Heraldo E Seu Conjunto. He had written all the preparations for the group Operating-system Cincopados and participated within their 1965 documenting. As an associate from the Orquestra de Carlos Piper, he was honored using the Guarani and Roquette Pinto trophies (1965). Using the group Quarteto Novo, he was also honored using the Roquette Pinto and received the Imprensa trophy double. In 1975, he supported Michel Legrand in his live shows in the Teatro Municipal of São Paulo. He also performed using the Zimbo Trio. In 1980, he performed and documented an recording with Elomar and Arthur Moreira Lima, and, 2 yrs later, he do the same with Elomar, Arthur Moreira Lima, and Paulo Moura in the popular display ConSertão. In 1997, the four of these played together once again in the Kaiser Bock Winter season Event. In 1988, he participated in the Montreal International Jazz Event (Canada). He also participated in the Montreux and Cuba celebrations. In 1994 and 1995 he was granted using the Prêmio Clear as arranger of two Dominguinhos’ albums. His ”Chuva Morna,” contained in O Piano Brasileiro de Arthur Moreira Lima, can be one of is own songs documented by popular interpreters. In 1997, as well as Arthur Moreira Lima and Paulo Moura, he displayed Brazil in the Caribbean International Music Event. In 1998 he organized, conducted, and performed in the recording Baião: 50 Anos de Poesia, Ritmo e Emoção, as well as Hermeto Pascoal, Sivuca, Renato Borghetti, Oswaldinho, and Dominguinhos. In June, he used the French guitarist Raphael Fays in the Sesc Ipiranga (São Paulo). In 2000, he participated in the Moacir Santos tribute in the Memorial da América Latina, São Paulo, with Johnny Alf, Leila Pinheiro, Roberto Sion, Teco Cardoso, and Guyé Silveira.
