Henry Strzelecki

Birmingham, AL-born Henry Strzelecki (sometimes credited while Henry P. Strzelecki) began in nation music in his teenagers, saving with songwriter Baker Knight around the Decca label out of Nashville in the middle-’50s. He used his sibling Larry in an organization, the Four Flickers (later on the Four Matters), who toured the southern and boundary states past due in the ’50s, and he consequently had popular like a songwriter using the novelty track “Long High Texan,” that was cut from the Seaside Males and Lyle Lovett, among numerous others. He caused Hank Garland like a bass participant in the first ’60s, and consequently worked well for Chet Atkins for greater than a 10 years, both in the studio room and on tour, which helped move him to leading rates of Nashville’s program players. The set of recordings which he spent some time working in the years since — generally as bassist, but occasionally also being a singer and sometimes on mouth body organ, or being a manufacturer — is certainly prodigious, and includes the task of almost every superstar to emerge from Nashville because the early ’60s. He also founded a posting and production firm in Nashville that was extremely active through the 1970s and 1980s, and in 1987 was nominated for Bassman of the entire year on the 23rd Academy of Nation Music Awards.
