Heavy Hawaii

The duo Large Hawaii is several lo-fi weirdos who seem focused on capturing the voices that swirl inside Brian Wilson’s head. Hailing from NORTH PARK, Matt Bahamas (vocals/tips/electric guitar) and Jojo Keylargo (electric guitar) make music that appears like a coughing syrup-addled Beach Young boys documenting a spooky, but still extremely poppy, soundtrack to a cheesy horror film. They produced their debut in ’09 2009 using a tune (“Sleeping Handbag”) on Bathetic Information’ Summertime Bummer Obtain Laid Get Squandered Mixtape, prior to making it onto vinyl fabric this year 2010 using the Teenager Angel EP for Artwork Fag Information and a divide single with Women Names. They implemented up this flurry of activity gradually, using the “Super Dish Xxix” one in 2012, and lastly launching a full-length, Goosebumps, in early 2013 for Artwork Fag.
