Pursuing his rude dismissal from Destruction — among Germany’s earliest & most popular thrash steel rings — vocalist/bassist Schmier (real name Marcel Schirmer) made a decision to continue with a fresh outfit known as Headhunter. Rounded out by guitarist Schmuddel and journeyman drummer Jorg Michael (Stratovarius, Mekong Delta, Grave Digger, etc.) Headhunter released several hyperactive rock albums that straddled the collection between thrash and power metallic — specifically 1990s Parody of Existence, 1992’s Bizarre Gardening Incident, and 1994’s Rebirth. Following a silent period where he devoted himself towards the cafe he is the owner of in his hometown of Weil am Rhein, Schmier rejoined Damage in 2000. Seven years later on, Headhunter not merely re-released their albums on AFM Information, but additionally regrouped to begin with documenting a follow-up to Rebirth. Parasite of Culture premiered in 2008.
