Head of Femur

Nebraska natives Mike Elsener (vocals/acoustic guitar, also of Solar Blowing wind), Ben Armstrong (vocals, keyboards, drums, ex-Commander Venus), and Matt Focht (vocals, acoustic guitar, also of Bright Eye) formed Mind of Femur in Chicago in past due 2001. Greyday authorized the indie rock and roll supergroup in 2002 and later on released Ringodom or Proctor, an recording demonstrating such varied influences because the Zombies, the Speaking Mind, the Flaming Lip area, and Brian Eno. Becoming a member of the primary trio within the record with shows are current and previous users of such performers as Bright Eye, Lullaby for the Functioning Course, Commander Venus, Plastik Trumpet, and Ugly Casanova. They released their second record, Hysterical Superstars, in springtime 2005, and spent all of those other year touring. The next springtime, they briefly came back to the studio room to record a a six melody EP titled Head as well as the Falcon before stripping down the music group to the primary members. A much less orchestrated Great Plains implemented in March of 2008.
