Minor vocalist who was simply the object from the Svengali treatment in the studio room by Joe Meek in 1963. Most likely appealing due to her appear (a photographer uncovered her) than her performing, Thorne released a unitary on EMI’s HMV label, Geoff Goddard’s “Merry Move Round” supported with Meek’s “CONTINUE There, ” which quickly vanished. Ritchie Blackmore has some aggressive electric guitar on both edges, but his contribution and any merits of either aspect were lost with a heavier than normal dollop of Joe Meek studio room gimmickry-Meek evidently attempted to disguise her Swedish highlight by double-tracking her vocal and speeding it up, which prompted also the reviewers in Melody Machine to remark that “she noises as though she’s performed at the incorrect quickness.” Thorne’s whereabouts because the middle-1960’s are anybody’s figure.
