Gruesome

Old-school metal clothing Gruesome produce hardcore, thrash, and loss of life steel in the vein of such common rings as Florida’s Loss of life and California’s Slayer. Produced by Exhumed guitarist/vocalist Matt Harvey and ex-Malevolent Creation drummer Gus Rios, Gruesome emerged jointly after Harvey and Rios participated in the “Loss of life to all or any” Loss of life reunion tour in 2012. Motivated by their distributed love of the first Death albums as well as the past due-’80s/early-’90s death steel audio, Harvey and Rios started writing songs jointly. With Harvey composing and documenting his vocals in California, Florida-based Rios earned Possessed guitarist Daniel Gonzalez and Derkéta bassist Robin Mazen to lay out the instrumental monitors. In 2015, Gruesome released their debut full-length record, Savage Property, on Relapse Information. Because of their follow-up task, 2016’s Proportions of Horror EP, Gruesome paid homage to Death’s common Scream Bloody Gore record. The greater progressive-sounding Sound of Determination EP appeared a year afterwards in March 2017.
