Griftegård

Griftegård can be an epic doom steel music group from Norrköping, Sweden, whose name originates within an aged Swedish phrase for “cemetery” or “burial surface.” Founded in 2004, the group released their initial demonstration, Psalm Bok, 3 years afterwards, and their debut record, Solemn Sacred Serious, in ’09 2009, after starting up with Truck Records. At the moment, the band’s lineup contains vocalist Thomas Eriksson, guitarists Ola Blomkvist, and Per Broddesson, bassist Thomas Jansson, and drummer Jens Gustafsson. Their design relies heavily for the ’80s function of compatriots Candlemass — including their semi-operatic vocals and Christian-themed lyrics — extrapolated into a lot more leaden, funeral doom tempos.
