Funeris Nocturnum

Finland’s self-appointed “Anti-Christian Great Metal” clothing Funeris Nocturnum was formed in late 1998 by vocalist Torment (later rebaptized Trmnt.xes), guitarist Grimort, and drummer Draco. Their objective: to emmulate the raw-boned, dark metal intensity arranged down by famous brands Marduk and Dark Funeral before them. Their 1st demo, appropriately called Slay and Burn off, arrived a 12 months later on and helped them protected a cope with self-employed Woodcut Information, which released the band’s 1st recording, Pure Satanic Blasphemy, within the springtime of 2000.
