Avant pop trio Fish & Roses shaped in NEW YORK in nov 1985. Vocalist/drummer Rick Dark brown initial surfaced from N.Con.C.’s famed no influx scene as an associate of both Blinding Headaches and Information, accompanied by a stint in V-Effect, even though his wife, Atlanta-born vocalist/bassist Sue Garner, performed in the little-known Vietnam just before earning interest as an associate from the Last Roundup. Keyboardist Dave Sutter finished the lineup, honing a audio as notable because of its complicated melodies and loose-limbed rhythms for its conspicuous lack of electric guitar. Seafood & Roses premiered using a self-titled EP released independently Shed label in 1987, implemented two years afterwards with the Homestead discharge We Are Pleased to Serve You. Quickly following the Experience Good AROUND label’s discharge of 1992’s Dear John, Fish & Roses dissolved; Dark brown and Garner afterwards collaborated in some other projects, especially Run On.
