Family Vision Care

Family Vision Treatment certainly are a quirkily named duo located in Cologne, Germany. Possibly the just group heavily inspired by British rock and roll icon Paul Weller to consider their inspiration exclusively from Weller’s frequently derided ’80s soul-pop duo the Style Council (instead of the mod punk from the Jam or the R&B and freakbeat mixture of his single career), Family Eyesight Care shoot for a similar mixture of traditional soul, vintage great jazz, bossa nova, and modernist consumer electronics. Family Vision Treatment started in the first ’90s as the studio room project of manufacturer and multi-instrumentalist Thomas Berghaus, who released a self-titled record of acidity jazz grooves in 1993. Following a album’s launch, Berghaus fulfilled and started a cooperation with American-born vocalist and lyricist Gary Harrison. Although duo produced some preliminary recordings in the middle-’90s that by no means noticed the light of day time, it wasn’t until 2007 that Family members Eyesight Care’s second recording, Cautious, was finally released. Berghaus can be a popular golf club DJ in Cologne.
