The Muggs

Produced in 2000 round the talents of guitarist/vocalist Danny Methric, bassist/support vocalist Tony DeNardo, and drummer Matt Rost, Detroit-based blues-rock juggernaut the Muggs spent the first area of the fresh century creating a dedicated army of local devotees. In Sept 2001, just like the teach was getting moving, tragedy struck when the 28-year-old DeNardo experienced a hemorrhagic heart stroke, nearly closing his existence. After 2 yrs of extreme physical therapy, DeNardo surfaced victorious, but having a paralyzed correct hand. Determined to choose back up where they began, DeNardo started playing his basslines on the Fender Rhodes piano as well as the Muggs 2.0 were set hit the stage. After putting your signature on with regional indie label Moments Beach Information in 2005, the Muggs released their eponymous debut and strike the street. That road ultimately resulted in an audition for the FOX truth TV show ANOTHER Great American Music group, for which these were selected out of over 10,000 candidates. They were able to last four shows before heading house, where Methric was crowned Excellent Rock and roll/Pop Instrumentalist as well as the Muggs had been voted Outstanding Rock and roll Artist/Group on the 2008 Detroit Music Honours. Their critically acclaimed sophomore discharge, On using the Present, arrived quickly thereafter in-may 2008.
