Eternal Elysium

Biography

Japan’s Eternal Elysium battled in obscurity throughout a lot of the 1990s, ultimately attaining cult-band position using a batch of incredibly rare, but extremely sought-after singles and compilation monitors before finally acquiring greater commercial publicity within the 2000s. When his previous New Influx of British Large Metal-inspired music group, Ran-Ja, collapsed in 1991, guitarist Yukito Okazaki founded Eternal Elysium with bassist Atsutoshi Tachimoto and drummer Jiro Murakami. Wanting to add spice to their traditional steel flavor with components of psychedelic rock and roll and Japanese music, the trio documented several demos before 1993’s separately released Faithful LP. After that, in a design that would do it again itself through the entire band’s long profession, the tempo section had taken its leave, leading to various part-time substitutes (including, briefly, bassist Jun Kawasaki and drummer Yasuhiro Okada), as the ever-present Okazaki wanted to secure an effective recording agreement for Eternal Elysium. This type of deal wouldn’t normally surface area until 1996, when Japan’s personal Eclipse Records made a decision to take a opportunity within the group, right now curved out by bassist Eiichi Okuyama and drummer Takashi Kuroda. But actually then, unforeseen complications continuing to plague the music group, beginning with a significant disease which sidelined Okazaki for nearly six months, after that repeated demo classes over the following couple of years which didn’t yield any materials deemed releasable from the record business (these recordings had been later referred to as The Spiral Summary vols. 1, 2, and 3). Finally, after many years of apparently fruitless toil highlighted just from the sporadic addition of their tracks in compilation albums, Eternal Elysium got a cope with Meteor Town Information, for whom they documented 1999’s Spiritualized D LP. Rounding up shows from the prior decade in addition to some brand-new material, the record was released in the united states the following calendar year, and a recently revamped Eternal Elysium (big shock there) having a brand-new rhythm portion of Toshiaki Umemura (bass) and Rio Okuya (drums) started focus on 2002’s Share.
