Before moving to NY, jazz vocalist Amalia Grè attended Perugia’s Academy of Good Arts, where she earned a qualification in theatrical set design. After university she spent period surviving in Rome, where she uncovered her undernourished like for jazz. She examined there with regional jazz hero Riccardo Biseo, and started executing in jazz night clubs and theaters. In 1990 she went to a vocal workshop using the famed Betty Carter, who inspired a bold move around in her profession, saying “You have your own design and look. All you have to is to understand the vocabulary and proceed to NY.” By 1995 Grè got shifted to N.Con.C. and started learning with jazz greats Tag Murphy and Bobby McFerrin. Furthermore to carrying on her vocal research, Grè also pursued teaching as an celebrity at the Dark Nexxus carrying out arts college. As she obtained a reputation on her behalf unique design and amazing stage existence, Grè began gigging around the town, ultimately catching eye at EMI. Her self-titled debut using the label offered 40,000 devices and opened doorways to touring the worldwide jazz picture. Her second single recording, Per Te, premiered two years later on, garnering her an invitation to execute in the renowned Sanremo Event in 2007.
