When California Snow Tale continued hiatus in 2003, drummer Mel Whittle come up with the Hermit Crabs, a nice, shambly twee pop task that gave much nod to fellow Glasgwegians Video camera Obscura and Belle & Sebastian. During the period of the following 3 years the band’s lineup extended to add John Ferguson, Tag Waudby, and David Murray. The Hermit Crabs’ 1st EP, FEEL GREAT Factor, premiered on Matinee in past due 2006. Noticed You Dance, their debut full-length, arrived the following 12 months. A split solitary offering “Flaxen Haired Young man” (released on Slumberland within their LOOKING FOR the Today series), and another Matinee EP, Correspondence Training course, had been released in 2008. The combo came back in 2012 using their third EP (Period Relentless) for Matinee in 2012.
